Chris and Jan Harper Trophee 2023 – Call for nominations

Bewerbungen gesucht:

„The Chris and Jan Harper Trophy is now open for 2023 nominations!  The 2022 Trophy was awarded to Jürg Wenger from Switzerland. For many years he has launched various initiatives to successfully attract new sailors. At the Swiss boat shows, his creative ideas for the appearance of the class clearly set us ahead of other classes. In Corona times he developed interactive quizzes to keep sailors on their toes. He has also been the cellar master of the Swiss class for 25 years and was one of the driving forces behind the construction of the new Yngling. In short, Jürg is a passionate sailor who has always walked the talk. Over and over again, for years and years, he took the initiative and surprised with new, creative and successful ideas on how to promote the Yngling. Many thanks and congratulations to the award! We are now looking for new examples of commitment, dedication and support of the Yngling class in your fleet. They exist! We are asking each country to submit a nomination. We want to recognize passionate sailors and publicize their contributions.
The next award ceremony will take place at the World Championship in Amager, Copenhagen Denmark in July 2023. There are no formal requirements for the letters of nomination. The deadline is May 1, 2023.  Please email applications to .   The award will be determined by the IYA Executive Committee.“
